About the Author

I am currently Director of Marketing for a major manufacturer of electrical wire and communications wire & cables. I've worked there for nearly eighteen years, twelve of which were spent in Engineering. I managed the development of the first "category" cables produced by my company. Prior to life in the private sector, I spent four years teaching 4th grade in public schools.

My interest in computers dates to 1979. I got hooked on the Apple II and bought my first unit (a Bell & Howell "black apple") in 1980. I was dragged kicking and screaming into the IBM camp in 1983 because the only PC my company would support was True Blue. Since then, I've gone native and embraced the computing world based on the Intel microprocessor.

This web site is a hobby effort. One of the best things about the Internet is free stuff. This is my contribution. The views, opinions, and information presented herein do not necessarily represent those of my company.
